A World Ready Education
Preparing pupils
not only for exams,
but for life
The world our children are growing into is changing at an unprecedented pace. Technology, global challenges and shifting social realities are reshaping how we live, learn and work. Academic success remains important, but it is only part of what young people need to thrive.
At Ardingly Astana, we prepare pupils with the knowledge, character and transferable skills to succeed in school and beyond.
We call this
approach
World Ready
It shapes learning across the curriculum, co-curricular life, pastoral care and leadership opportunities, helping pupils grow as confident, thoughtful and adaptable young people.
At the same time, we encourage pupils to value their own culture and traditions, developing a strong sense of identity alongside a global outlook.
Our philosophy is expressed through six interconnected dimensions that shape academic learning, enrichment, leadership and community life.
The Six Dimensions of World Ready
These dimensions are woven into every aspect of school life, from lessons and projects to service, sport and leadership. By the time they graduate, pupils are not only academically accomplished, but prepared to lead, adapt and contribute with purpose.
Shaping
My World
at Primary School
Pupils start their World Ready journey at age five. In a supportive and engaging environment, they are encouraged to explore, ask questions and develop a love of learning.
As they discover the world around them, they learn to think creatively, act with courage and show kindness.
We have adapted the World Ready philosophy for younger learners in a programme called Shaping My World. It focuses on four key qualities, known as the four ‘US’s:
These values are woven into daily learning, helping pupils build confidence, character and a love of learning from the very beginning.
Our Aims in Primary
We aim to:
- Create a caring and supportive community for every pupil
- Help each pupil reach their full academic potential
- Encourage co-curricular passions and personal interests
- Develop early employability and enterprise skills
- Guide pupils to form thoughtful perspectives on society
- Broaden horizons through local and global connections
- Instil values of engagement, compassion, resilience and collaboration
World Ready at Ardingly Astana equips pupils with more than qualifications. It develops thoughtful, capable, globally minded young people ready for life beyond school.
